BUGIS CAKE By @cheche_kitchen
1/2 grated coconut which is still thick
100 brown sugar / to taste
2-3 pandan leaves
Pinch of salt HOW:
Mix all ingredients, cook until all blended & cooked, set aside
Banana leaves to taste
500 gr white glutinous rice flour (can mix black glutinous rice flour)
1 teaspoon salt
2 tbsp sugar (optional)
400-450 ml coconut milk (from 1/2 coconut) can be heated / can be used lgsg
1. Combine coconut milk + sugar & salt, stir well, then pour into the flour little by little until it is not sticky in the hands. Or you can also mix flour + salt & sugar, mix well, then pour the coconut milk a little at a time until it’s not sticky to the hands.
2. Heat the steamer, then start to print the dough in this way, take enough skin material, fill it with enough stuffing, wrap it in banana leaves. Do it until it runs out3. Steam until cooked Note:
* For stuffing, you can also use granulated sugar (skip the brown sugar)
* Minang version, replace the skin with the same amount of water, then after printing, add 1 tablespoon of coconut milk and wrap it * If the dough is thin, please add a little flour until it feels right (not sticky in the hands). Good luck 👌
